I have always been an extroverted introvert; and although I had been informally doing social media management a few years before I really looked seriously at it as a career one year before Covid hit.

I had started a podcast and a blog page for my health and wellness brand, Live Well with Michelle, and I had even written a book on Amazon called “Fit for Life.”
Having spent a good majority of my 30 years in the health and wellness industry marketing my programs through various channels, Covid forced me to find ways to adapt and connect with my audience online.
That’s when I truly realized the power of social media in reaching and engaging with people.
While I enjoyed the autonomy of working solo, I found myself missing the dynamics of being part of a team that collaborates and meets consistently.

Returning to Fitness on site post-pandemic and utilizing my skills in social media management and content marketing for my freelance clients was fulfilling, but I couldn’t shake off the desire to be part of an employee team.
It was then that I stumbled upon the concept of a hybrid model that integrates the best of both worlds.
This model allows freelancers like me to work externally while also being an integral part of a team. I am now part of a newly evolved team where external experiences are valued and contribute significantly to the collective expertise.

Embracing this hybrid approach has transformed my work, making content creation, meeting deadlines, and communications much smoother.
I love the hybrid model for social media management for the following reasons:

So clearly, the answer to my initial question is: best of both worlds!
